Fundraiser/Grant Writer (Global/Lagos) Remote

Role Summary:

Queercity Media is looking for a fundraiser with a keen eye for fundraising opportunities, skills and experience in grant writing for CSO /minority-focused Creative Collectives, and an adventurous work style to join our team using and expanding already available resources to further create more funding opportunities for the programs of Queercity Media..

Requirements:

Job Deliverables
  • Researching potential sponsors.
  • Writing funding proposals and sending these to potential sponsors.
  • Creating marketing and promotional activities.
  • Developing fundraising events.
  • Maintaining records.
  • Organizing campaigns that will lead to fundraisings.
  • Training fundraising volunteers.
Remuneration

Will be based on a experience and performance-related pay.

Production Assistant (Nigeria/Lagos) Hybrid

Role Summary:

Queercity Media is looking for an entry-level audio / audio-visual producer/storyteller with a salient eye for narratives and adventurous work style to join our Productions Team and would help the organization’s studio and production create engaging, modern, and African Queer experience-centered contents that helps Queercity media further achieve its strategic goals.

Requirements:

Our Production assistant is:

  1. A Queer Creative
  2. Lives in Lagos; and can access Ajah/Sangotedo/Ibeju-Lekki
  3. Independently innovative
  4. Has a laptop
  5. Has a keen eye for stories that matter and details
  6. Have at least 1-year experience as a podcaster/vlogger/journalist/photographer/ Content Creator Designer
  7. Ability to work remotely and manage workflow using Teams, Zoom, Asana, etc
Job Deliverables
  • Study content production briefs and determine requirements
  • work with production Schedules projects
  • Conceptualize podcast productions based on requirements
  • Prepare rough podcast drafts and present ideas
  • Work with team to develop promotion materials
  • Edit with the creative team to produce the final design
  • Production feedbacks
Remuneration

Based on a monthly accumulated invoice, a Biyclce stipend of #5,000 is paid on every studio trip, and a monthly Data Stipend of #10,000

Community Manager (Nigeria/Lagos)Hybrid

Role Summary:

Queercity Media is looking for a Queer Community manager to join our programs department and help transform and organize our community-centered events and outlets, engage our digital community through campaigns, build our creative community, and represent the organization’s value through captivating and on-brand campaigns, videos, pictures, essays, etc

Requirements:
  1. Queer Creative
  2. Knowledgeable of algorithms and social media savvy
  3. Creatively curious about content material with mobile phone
  4. Independently innovative with social media content creation
  5. Collaborative
  6. Has a keen eye for aesthetics and details
  7. Have at least 1-year experience as a community manager
  8. Ability to work remotely and manage workflow using Teams, Zoom, Asana, etc
Job Deliverables
  • Work with the programs team to develop and execute community-based events
  • Design and implement social media campaigns to align with Queercity’s goal of minority representation.
  • Oversee community and audience engagement with Merchandise and store
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop Queercity’s program and campaigns, like promotions and social events
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in community management and att further connects Queercity to our community, locally, regionally, and internationally.
