This category recognizes an established creative force who has consistently produced exceptional work that celebrates and empowers the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether it’s through music, film, literature, visual arts, or any other creative medium, this award
honors those whose work leaves a lasting impact. - Empowerment/Support Program of the Year:
Do you know of a program or organization that is making a significant difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ Nigerians? This award celebrates initiatives that provide essential support services, foster safe spaces, and promote the well-being of the community. - Social Media/Digital Influencer of the Year:
The power of social media cannot be overstated. This award honors an influencer who is using their platform to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, raise awareness, and inspire positive change within the community and beyond. - Voice of Change of the Year:
This category recognizes an individual or group who has bravely spoken out for LGBTQIA+ rights and equality. Whether it’s an activist, journalist, or someone who has used their platform to challenge the status quo, this award honors those who are making a difference through their voice. - Collaboration of the Year:
Great things can be achieved when we work together. This award celebrates a successful collaboration between two or more individuals or organizations that has had a positive impact on the LGBTQIA+ community in Nigeria. - Media Voice of the Year:
The media plays a crucial role in shaping public perception. This award honors a media outlet, journalist, or broadcaster who has consistently reported on LGBTQIA+ issues with fairness, accuracy, and sensitivity, promoting understanding and inclusivity. - Social Event of the Year:
This category recognizes a social event that brought the LGBTQIA+ community together, fostered a sense of belonging, and celebrated our vibrant culture. It could be a pride march, a film festival, a concert, or any other event that had a significant impact. - Trail Blazer Honorary Award (Lifetime Achievement):
This prestigious award honors an individual who has dedicated their life to advancing the rights and well-being of the LGBTQIA+ community in Nigeria. Their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on countless lives. - The Outstanding Queer African in Diaspora Award:
This prestigious award honours an individual or individuals from Africa making impact in the African queer community abroad. Do you know an incredible LGBTQ+ African individual making a positive impact in the Diaspora?
